Options like Skype or phone interview will be considered

Got answer from Ukrainian UEFA office on the question.

One important thing is unclear now. In the brochure said that every volunteer must to attend a 30 min long interview in a hosting city during a weekend in the autumn of 2011. The same time UEFA encourage volunteers from around the World. Does it mean a volunteer from Australia, Canada or Brazil has to fly to Poland or Ukraine for this interview? If so… how the Olympic Committee came around the issue, half of my volunteers team in Vancouver 2010 was from other continents.

Options like Skype or phone interview will be considered in cases when a person applies from other continent. Only selected applicants will be invited for this kind of interview.

A wide variety of roles will be available with media operations, transport, guest services and hospitality among others.

Got olympic volunteer’s experience

I’ve got this valuable experience. Just few weeks ago I hanged my shiny blue volunteer-2010 uniform. I’ve posted about this experience in Ukrainian in my personal journal. For visitors of this site I’d like to summarize that the volunteer experience this is something to remember for whole your life. No doubt volunteering for such expected to be spectacular and vibrant event as Euro Cut 2012 will be not less emotionally colorful.

I worked with volunteers who have participated in three or four Olympic events. I worked with great people not only from great Canada, but as well from Netherlands, Italy, Australia, India,.. And now after the event we are keeping in touch around the globe: sending emails, adding each other to the social networks, chatting online… Exceptional experience and the volunteers are great, special people.
